Gas Blender Trimix

Technical diving is a reality. More and more dive centers are offering gas fills as part of their services (Nitrox, Trimix, Oxygen, etc.), and they need Blenders who know how to prepare these mixes.

At the same time, many divers want to blend their own gases for their dives. If you fall into either of these two categories, this is the course for you!

This course has two distinct parts: Oxygen Service Technician and Nitrox & Trimix Blender. You will learn everything about Oxygen, O2-compatible components, cleaning, marking, gas characteristics, blending methods, blending software, analysis, labeling, and, of course, we will make lots of gas mixes.

Prerequisites

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Complete the entire online registration process at www.diveraid.com.

Course Schedule

The course is held over 2 days (12 hours total): 2 theory sessions + 3 practical sessions.

Day 1 (6 hours)

  • Theory Session 1 (3 hours)
    • Course Introduction. Oxygen.
    • O2-Compatible Components. O2 Risks.
    • O2 Cleaning. O2 Service. O2-Compatible Air.
  • Practical Session 1 (3 hours)
    • Performing O2 Service.

Day 2 (6 hours)

  • Theory Session 2 (3 hours)
  • Practical Session 2 (2 hours)
    • O2 Transfilling. Nitrox by Partial Pressure.
    • Nitrox by Continuous Blending.
  • Practical Session 3 (1 hour)
    • Trimix. Using a booster pump.
    • Analysis and labeling.
