DPV Specialty Instructor

Scooter diving (DPV) is undoubtedly one of the specialties with the greatest potential within the training range you can offer your students as an instructor. It not only expands dive possibilities but also transforms the way divers interact with the environment, their equipment, and themselves.

The DPV specialty is structured into two progressive levels:

  • Basic DPV: For divers certified as Open Water 20 who want to learn how to use a DPV for recreational use using natural navigation methods.

  • Advanced DPV: For divers certified as Open Water 20 who hold a Navigation specialty, have a minimum of 20 dives, and have mastered the use of a long hose and a wing/harness configuration.

Once you complete the DPV Specialty Instructor course, you will be able to teach both levels, allowing you to reach both recreational and technical divers and expanding your scope as a specialty instructor.

We have Divertug Scooters available for rent during the course if you do not have your own. Furthermore, once you are a RAID DPV Specialty Instructor, you can rent DPVs from us to conduct your own courses without the need to invest in purchasing and maintaining them.
